Conditions of Play

ARRIVAL AT THE CLUBS
• Players are requested to check-in at least 30 minutes before their tee time.
• Golfers are requested to follow the signs to the Bag Drop and then onward to the check – in desk at the clubhouse.
• Please familiarise yourself with our current guidelines by visiting the following:

Golfers under the age of sixteen are not permitted to drive golf buggies.

HANDICAP REQUIREMENT
Players are requested to bring their handicap certificates with them. The handicap limit for men is 28 and is 36 for ladies. When a player plays with a golf professional, we allow playing ability cards or green cards.

DRESS CODE
Appropriate golf attire is required for all players, when practicing or playing and in the clubhouse as noted below:
Gentlemen:
Tailored trousers or shorts, T-shirts with collars and sleeves must be worn inside the trousers or shorts and Golf shoes with soft spikes or flat-soled training shoes.
Ladies:
Golf shirts or blouses, Golf trousers, shorts or skirts, Golf shoes with soft spikes or flat-soled training shoes.

GOLF CLUBS
Players may hire a set of golf clubs from the respective Clubs, as each golfer is required to play with a set of clubs. Sharing a set of clubs is not permitted.

PRACTICE FACILITIES
Players are welcome to use the following practice facilities: Driving Range, Chipping Green and Putting Green. No reservation is needed as practice facilities are on a first come first serve basis and a bucket of range balls is inclusive in the 18 hole green fee.

TEE TIMES
All golfers will be put into playing groups of four players. Should you wish to have the tee times exclusively for your group, players are required to pay for four slots.

Please be advised that all tee times booked are subject to change of pattern/format (ie. change from tee times to shotgun or vice versa) according to the occupancy of the courses.
Duration for 18 holes round of golf is 4 hours and 10 minutes.

COURSE MARSHALS
Our Course Marshals will be on the golf course to assist players at all times. In the event of a slow play, we request players to please accept any decisions made by our marshals.

NON-GOLFERS / SPECTATORS
For safety reasons and control of golf course operations, we do not allow non-playing guests to accompany players on the course to accompany players on the course.

In the interest of safety and for operational reasons, our golf courses do not generally allow non-playing guests to accompany players. However, at the Club’s discretion, on the date of play spectators may be allowed on the course based on the following criteria :

  • A maximum of two carts is allocated per tee time. If four golfers are booked for a tee time, no spectators will be permitted.
  • A maximum of two people are allowed to sit in one cart.
  • If there are 3 or less golfers in a tee time, a spectator may be allowed to join the group.
  • The spectator must follow the same dress code as golfers, otherwise access will not be permitted.
  • A spectator fee of AED120 will be charged.

The above reasons are outlined for safety, insurance, and operational reasons in the interest of other guests and our members.

EMIRATES GOLF CLUB:  Host of the Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic and Dubai Moonlight Classic.  The Majlis is the premier course in the region and the Faldo course is the only 18-hole course to offer night golf.

Note: The condition of the course will not be as good as normal in the first few days (7). This will result in the greens, and their surrounds, being a little sandy during play. However, course is still playable.

16th – 24th June 2022  The course has recently reopened after essential summer maintenance. Aeration on the tees, greens and fairways will leave them sandy.

1st – 5th August 2022 – Course closed for summer maintenance

6th – 12th August 2022  The course has recently reopened after essential summer maintenance. Aeration on the tees, greens and fairways will leave them sandy.

 5th – 9th December 2022 – Course closed for overseeding

Maintenance rate from 10th – 23rd December 2022  The course has recently been overseeded. The rough, approaches and tee boxes will be sandy and still recovering. Rates are reduced to reflect this

10th December 2022 – 15th February 2023 – “No Carts policy – Walking Only”

 15th – 29th January 2023 – Course closed for the hosting of Slync.io Dubai Desert Classic 2023

 

Emirates Golf Club – Faldo course

23rd – 27th May 2022 – Course closed for summer maintenance

Note: The condition of the course will not be as good as normal in the first few days. This will result in the greens, and their surrounds, being a little sandy during play. However, course is still playable.

Maintenance rate from 28th May – 5th June 2022  The Faldo Course has recently reopened after essential summer maintenance. Aeration on the tees, greens and fairways will leave them sandy.

18th – 22nd July 2022 – Course closed for summer maintenance

DUBAI CREEK GOLF & YACHT CLUB:  Located in the heart of Dubai, the club’s 18-hole championship course offers a memorable experience from the first tee to the 18th green, with its well groomed fairways and tropical shrubbery.

Note: The use of golf carts will not be possible as the Earth course will be under final preparations for the upcoming DP World Tour Championship.  Walking the Earth course is a truly unique experience and there is no doubt you will enjoy.  You will be given a complimentary trolley if you wish or alternatively you can hire one of our qualified caddies for just AED 170 plus optional gratuity.
